Kurulu Bay (Sinhalese for “bird island”) is a private sanctuary built around the existing. Overlooking Sri Lanka’s largest, and one of its most scenic lakes, Koggala Lake, and surrounded by lush greenery, every element has been carefully considered to offer space, privacy and tranquility, with an emphasis on health and wellbeing.

Anayat, Founder of Rising Sisterhood Movement and Anu Rising
Anayat is an International Retreat Leader, Certified Yoga Instructor, Certified Mat Pilates Teacher, Life Coach, Somatic Breath Work Facilitator, Sound Bowl Facilitator, Energy Worker, Intuitive Guide, and preacher of self-love. She has a passion for cultivating community, traveling, mindfulness, healing, meaningful connections, adventures and exploring the internal + external landscapes this human experience has to offer. Her work includes deep human connection practices, expansion through personal growth + self-reflection, inquiring + challenging humans to step outside their comfort zones, and guiding people back to self-love to step into their power + purpose.
Anayat offers a nurturing and supportive container to allow for all feelings + emotions to exist, be processed, and take up space. She encourages raw, radical, emotional vulnerability to be expressed in effort to experience true healing and remind us that we are never alone.
Anayat loves encouraging others to travel this beautiful world through her intentionally curated retreats, experiencing new places, immersing in new cultures, and creating new relationships while cultivating lifelong memories + soul filling friendships.
Anayat’s yoga offerings are intentionally balanced and alignment focused to allow energy to freely flow through your physical + energetic body. Her classes offer a strong foundation of breathwork, alignment based yoga, engagement of the natural elements, freedom for self-expression, play, authentic intention setting, purpose, and honoring your body.

Giustina, Trauma-informed Bodyworker & Yoga Teacher
Giustina is a trauma-informed yoga and somatic practitioner with over a decade of experience guiding people into deeper relationship with their bodies. Her work spans retreats, teacher trainings, classrooms, and private sessions, rooted in the practice of meeting oneself with honesty and awareness.
Blending anatomy, bodywork, and nervous system literacy, she helps make the body intelligible—inviting clarity, agency, and sustainable change through embodied understanding rather than force.
Her teaching bridges science and lived experience, weaving biomechanics, sensation, and contemplative practice into an approach that is both precise and deeply intuitive.
